Ape

She found a way to be adored,

A thrust of feeling open wide.

Her guts revealed, the crowd recoiled,

Appalled, disgusted, goggle-eyed.

But in my southeast corner something did move,

Proclaimed existence, life, and something to prove.

How could this poor, deformed and twisted ape

Arouse and excite me?

In calm appeal, repaired appear-

-ance, grabbing at a hand of mine,

She asked for help, that in her heart

Was love but crushed to powder-fine.

Upon inspecting every bend in her spine,

Aware of humor in a body's design,

I have concluded that a twisted ape,

Can rouse and excite me.
